Not at all. Our Turnkey HDS plan is designed for organisations without an in-house technical team: clinics, medical practices, nursing homes, laboratories. SdV handles the infrastructure, operation, updates, backup and compliance documentation. You have a single point of contact for everything.
Liability depends directly on what your hosting provider covers, both by contract and by certification. If your provider isn’t certified for the scopes that actually cover data processing (system operation, managed services, backup), your organisation remains exposed. With SdV, all 6 scopes are covered and the HDS contract clearly sets out each party’s responsibilities.
During a CNIL (French data protection authority) audit of health data, inspectors check, among other things, that a signed HDS contract exists, that the hosting provider is certified for the relevant scopes, that access is traceable, and that security measures are documented. SdV gives you all of these at onboarding, so if an audit takes place you can produce the evidence straight away.
HDS certification covers 6 scopes. A provider can be certified for the first 3 (premises, hardware infrastructure, virtual infrastructure) without covering system operation, managed services and backup. Yet that’s where the real responsibility for data processing sits. SdV’s assessment lets you check exactly what your current provider covers, free of charge, in one hour.
No. SdV supports the migration from start to finish, with a schedule built around your operational constraints. Migrations are carried out outside business hours, with a documented rollback plan. You keep working normally throughout the transfer. Full technical support is included in the Turnkey HDS plan.
